A Very Cozy Fireplace HD App Reviews

...just in time for an urban fall!

I loved the idea of a crackling fireplace at my command. So I bought this app without reading any reviews (never wise!), and started as soon as it finished a quick download. And it was just as beautiful as I had imagined...until I heard a gap in the sound. At first I thought it was a fluke and ignored it, but then it became apparent that the gap in sound was very regular and about every 20 seconds Id say (I didnt time it). Thing is, I dont know that I would have caught or minded the looping if the sound didnt abruptly stop for about a second then continue at the beginning of the loop. And unfortunately, that gap is enough to disrupt the meditative state that was forming as I gazed into the fire. So disappointing and it seems that it would have been so easy to avoid the gap.

Short of actually setting my phone on fire, this is the next best thing. I mostly use it on the table when we go out for dinner, to class things up, and this litte fire always does the trick. As ridiculous as that sounds, it actually does provide a little novelty atmosphere. Im not sure why there are complaints about the looping. If you relentlessly focus on this thing, then yes, you will see and hear it loop. However, I get the impression this was designed to be used in the background, and not be the focus of everyones attention while its running. If you downloaded this to just sit and stare at it, then you might have issues that this app isnt gonna solve.

I love this little app - had it for years. When I go visit people in Florida for x-mad we AirPlay in the living room. The crackle sound is cool.

I love this app. I like to play it through my Apple TV. I also like the idea that I can pick what music I want to be playing.

Easy to use. Combine crackle and music.

By the minute. 2 one finger typed reviews I have had deleted by Apple now for nickname violations - so much fun to be so annoyed and to be typing this with one finger and only find out when you hit send that youve broken some rule - hey apple- how about you dont delete my review and make me type it all over for your stupid nickname rule?? I bought this app because it was advertised as being able to be watched on Apple TV via AirPlay while listening to something else, e.g. Pandora. I have been unable to get that to work and have been unable to get an explanation, help or even a response from the app developer. Either provide what you advertise, quor quit advertising it

Ive tried most of the fireplace apps available and although this seems to be the best its not my favorite. It constantly crashes when I try to airplay. I love the fire but I want MY music playlist. Disappointed.

I bought this so I could use airplay to put a fire and iTunes radio or pandoras Christmas music station on the big screen.

4th crash this evening. Its not ready for iOS 7 prime time.

I think this is a great app, just wish I could access either my iTunes radio stations or pandora stations while using this app. It’s weird that it lets you pick from the iTunes artists/playlists etc… but does not list iTunes radio. It would be fun to listen to the holiday music channel while this is playing. Don’t know how hard it would be add that, but it would be perfect if that could be added. I would definitely update to a 5 star ratting if that was implementing.

When I bought it a year ago, it worked great. I’m up-to-date, and have followed all of the solutions on the developers web page. It doesn’t work. It locks up while streaming. It won’t stream music from the iphone to the Apple TV. The video pauses for no reason. It crashes when the iPhone screen goes to sleep while it’s streaming. Do NOT buy this app!

5 stars when you get iPod music to work with airplay!

I should have read the reviews instead of reading compatibility (Supports iOS 5 and better). Wasted 99 cents. It Airplays the crackling fireplace but will crash when you toggle the music switch.

Hey, I really think this app is cool but I have problems running my own iPod songs and setting the fire on at the same time on my Apple TV so I want to apply to a refund or maybe you can give me a solution ASAP. Thanks...

The philosophy behind this app is great. However, read the comments from the developer before you purchase. I have ios7, an iPhone 5s, and the newest Apple tv. It does not work well. You cant stream the video via airplay and add music from your playlists. You also cannot view the control panel....its hidden. For .99, its not the end of the world. Needs to be up-dated.
